The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence in the application and use of information and communications technologies to enable the learner to apply principles and practices of e-Business technologies in a range of contexts. This will allow the learner to apply new processes in any business setting and also prepare the learner for further studies in the areas of business and computing.

This level 5 module aims to give the learner an understanding of what makes an Internet enabled business function.
The areas covered include communication using the internet, purchasing systems, online shopping, uses of cloud computing, and social media for business.
The learner will learn to apply e-Business practices to existing businesses and to function within an established e-environment.
The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to build websites and webpages.
They will learn how to effectively use HTML5 and CSS standards using code editors to assist in the construction, testing and maintenance of websites.
This award aims to allow the learner to gain practical experience in a work environment. This placement is prepared for by the learner by exploring the employment area; their own goals and their skill-set. A plan and comprehensive learner diary are prepared during the placement and a supervisors report containing feedback is completed by the employer.
After the placement a reflection and personal critique is written allowing the learner to prepare for future employment and/or training opportunities.
Communications is mandatory for all level 5 awards. It is very important to have good communication skills in order to enable a person to work effectively in the workplace.
